Case Description
This time, we helped a youth cheerleading team in the East Bay create about 25 custom Team T-shirts. The design was simple: the team name in a bright fluorescent color on the front, with the team abbreviation on the back.
But what mattered most to us was making the process easier for the team captain—no more collecting payments, chasing down orders, or organizing everyone’s sizes.
We provided a group ordering link that the captain could simply share with the team. Each family could choose their own sizes, pay separately, and complete their own order. No collecting cash, and no tracking down families who haven’t paid yet.
The whole team also doesn’t have to wear the same size range. We offer Youth YXS–YXL, and if someone needs Adult XS, they can select an adult size individually. There’s no need to limit the entire team to Youth sizes just because it’s a youth team.
When reviewing the artwork, we also explain the realities of fluorescent colors upfront. Fluorescent colors can really stand out on dark garments, but the final printed color may not look exactly the same as what you see on a screen. We’d rather explain that before production than have you discover it after receiving your shirts.
For competition apparel, we generally recommend finalizing the artwork about 5 weeks before the competition, giving everyone enough time for ordering, payment, and production.
Finally, fluorescent colors need a little extra care. Wash inside out, use cold water, avoid bleach and fabric softener, and avoid high heat. Proper care can help reduce fading and dulling, but it can’t guarantee that the print will always look exactly like it did when it was brand new.
Our goal is to make custom team apparel simple: the captain confirms the team design, while team members and families choose their own sizes and pay for their own orders. We take care of the rest.
Easy. Simple. No hassle.
